Drawing Class: Skeletal form

This week we focused on skull drawings and paintings, normally I would shy away from this type of drawing as skeletal forms are quite tricky. However, in good spirit, and after a diverse look at other artists, I was willing to give it a good go. And I am really pleased that I did, I am really pleased with the result! We were asked to think about drawing the skull in a way that would incorporate the background so as not to just have a floating skull, everyone approached this differently, with many varied outcomes. I think its really great that we are doing these sorts of task as practice for life drawing classes as they are really good training exercises, and a nice warm up to the activity of standing and drawing for a long period of time.
