‘Living in the Material World’

While the layers of the work were visibly very thin, they still had a textural element to them. Stitt seems to be focused on the different planes of existance if my understanding is correct; the pieces represent the changes in structure in one place. The layering of history, I imagined that an areal view of on excavation might bring similar visuals as the foundations of each building mix together.
